Adopt-A-Teen - Holiday Sponsors Needed!

Support a teen from a low-income household by providing gifts for the holidays! Teens are often over-looked when it comes to holiday giving – let’s face it, they’re more difficult to buy for and are often skipped over in favor of younger children.  Although teens may understand the financial circumstances in their household, they still deserve something for the holidays!  The holiday Adopt-A-Teen Program at WDM Human Services anonymously matches a sponsor with a teen ages 13 to 18 years old. You may adopt one teen, or multiple teens - whatever fits your budget.  Sponsors will receive a wish list completed by the teen which will include first name, gender, age, gift ideas  and family contact information.  Sponsors are asked to spend approximately $100 per teen - this can be in the form of several small gifts or one larger-valued gift - or it can simply be a gift card.  Gifts are to be delivered to WDM Human Services on designated dates in mid-December.  Families begin registering in mid-October and the matching process begins in early November.  Please call 515-222-3663 for more information, or visit our website at: www.wdm.iowa.gov\HolidayGivingOpportunities
