Who We Are
West Des Moines Human Services has been assisting low-income, elderly, and disabled individuals in our service area since 1979. As a department within the City of West Des Moines, we are a non-profit agency. We provide emergency assistance to households in need including food, clothing, emergency rent and utility assistance, and youth recreational assistance to eligible households.
What We Do
The mission of the West Des Moines Human Services Department is to provide opportunities for individuals to improve and enhance the quality of life and sense of community through the programs and services available.
