Link is a community-based, non-profit organization that provides services for adults with intellectual disabilities since 1953. Link has impacted the lives, hopes, and dreams of hundreds of people with intellectual disabilities and their families in our community.
The homes that persons served reside in need special attention at least annually to address issues that cannot be addressed more routinely. This encompasses deep cleaning tasks including windows, ceiling fans, wiping down cupboards, etc. Some homes may need rooms painted as well as outdoor yard work. Volunteers will have a list of cleaning tasks, painting projects or outdoor work for each of the homes needing attention and will complete all that a 4 hour time period allows.
Volunteers will work in small groups of 4-6 people and have the opportunity to work an afternoon shift from 12pm - 4pm. All supplies needed for the cleaning, painting or outdoor work will be provided, with the exception of gloves.
