For nearly 30 years, Martin Luther King, Jr. Day has been observed with a National Day of Action. Volunteers across the United States step forward to lend a hand and make a positive impact in their community, honoring Dr. King's memory and legacy.
This year, we invite you to join Greater Des Moines Habitat for Humanity on Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Action. We have multiple volunteer opportunities in home construction, home preservation and ReStore available and plan to gather for lunch (our treat) to learn about Dr. King's vision for building the "beloved community" and Habitat's commitment to making it a reality.
