Salisbury House Foundation and Iowa Stage Theatre Company are excited to announce the return of a beloved summer tradition, Shakespeare on the Lawn, as a fundraising collaboration between our two organizations - and we're looking for volunteers! Volunteers will assist with check-in, programs, ushering, greeting guests, parking and traffic control, and more.
Given that this is an outdoor event in mid-July, please consider any health risks you may have in relation to heat or humidity before signing up to volunteer. Volunteers will be required to fill out and sign an emergency contact form, release of liability, and photography release - all of which will be sent to your prior to your volunteer shift.
As a thank you for your volunteerism, all volunteers will receive one complimentary ticket to a 2022 Shakespeare on the Lawn performance of King Lear for each night they volunteer. The complimentary ticket will be given to you at the end of your volunteer shift, allowing you to stay for that night's performance, or come back later in the week. Sunday night volunteers will not be given their complimentary ticket in advance, but will have the opportunity to stay for the Sunday night performance.
