In collaboration with the Executive Director, the Fundraising Committee oversees development efforts and fundraising.
Duties and Accountabilities
Responsible for the overall fundraising plan that incorporates a series of appropriate tactics such as special events, direct mail, sponsorships, etc. Special events may be in partnership with the Community Engagement Committee.
- Take the lead in certain types of outreach efforts, including special events.
- Monitor fundraising efforts to make sure ethical practices are in place and that donors are appropriately acknowledged.
- Set up meetings with current or potential donors.
- Strategize regarding possible partnerships with congregations, dioceses, or other groups.
- Help nurture a culture of philanthropy throughout the organization.
- Help establish the charitable contribution goals for the annual budget.
