At LSI, we partner with children, youth and families, people with disabilities, the elderly and people of refugee status – helping people in times of need, strengthening families and advocating dignity and social justice for our neighbors in the community.
Every year in November, we look for members of our community who are willing to support a family in our services for people disabilities or our early childhood programs on Thanksgiving. We collect thanksgiving meal basket donations and distribute them to families we serve here in Des Moines. All donations must be dropped off by November 21st.
