Volunteer Opportunity: Resource Database Researcher
Location: Remote / Flexible
Time Commitment: Part-time, 4–8 weeks
About the Role:
We’re building a comprehensive resource database to better connect our community with the organizations and services they need—and we need your help! As a Resource Database Volunteer, you will research and compile information on local organizations, including contact details, services offered, and counties served, and enter this data into our Airtable database.
Responsibilities:
Research organizations and programs across our 14-county district (Marion, Madison, Jasper, Warren, Polk, Dallas, Hamilton, Story, Boone, Greene, Decatur, Wayne, Clarke, and Lucas)
Collect and verify accurate information from websites and other public sources
Enter data into Airtable, ensuring it is organized and structured consistently
Collaborate with our team to clarify any missing or ambiguous information
Qualifications:
Experience with Airtable is helpful but not required
Basic knowledge of structuring data in Excel, Google Sheets, or similar platforms
Attention to detail and accuracy
Familiarity with resources and organizations in our 14-county district is a strong plus
Commitment:
Flexible, part-time work over the next 4–6 weeks (starting immediately)
Remote-friendly; work can be completed on your own schedule
