On February 23, we will host an Informational Coffee for prospective volunteers. Volunteer opportunities at Terrace Hill include the following:
DOCENTS - All Terrace Hill tours are by reservation only and are led by Docents. Tours are offered March-December at 10:30 am and 12:00 pm, Tuesdays-Saturdays. Docents work with adults and children. In addition to Terrace Hill's regular tour schedule, Docents are occasionally needed to staff special events. Docents should enjoy working with people of all ages, have good public speaking skills and have a passion for learning and sharing the history of Terrace Hill.
KITCHEN & SPECIAL EVENT VOLUNTEERS - Volunteers are needed to assist with dinners, receptions, Terrace Hill Teas and other special events. Volunteers assist the Terrace Hill chef with food preparation, set-up, serving, and clean-up for dinners and receptions. Kitchen prep shifts usually run from 10:00 am to 2:30 pm on weekdays. Event serving shifts usually run from 4:30 to 8:30 pm on weeknights.
GARDEN VOLUNTEERS - Volunteers are used throughout the spring and summer to plant, weed, and maintain the gardens. Times and hours are flexible.
