CYC's Mentor Advantage Program (MAP) matches mentors and mentees based on personality and the mentee’s career interest. MAP introduces mentees to their mentor’s career, showing them the steps to take to reach their dream. Matches are encouraged to spend time at the mentor’s place of employment, whenever possible, giving the mentee an inside look at what the job entails. Matches also spend a lot of their time together engaging in activities of mutual interest like outdoor rec, volunteering, or attending community events. Matches meet for 4 hours/month for 1 year, and scheduling time together is very flexible.
