Ankeny Alumni Association, Inc. hosts an annual banquet each year on the Friday evening of Ankeny's SummerFest celebration. Open to alumni of Ankeny Community School District alumni, friends, family, the banquet includes the association's annual business meeting, a dinner, and program. The association welcomes volunteer assistance with the set-up of the banquet during the evening *before* the banquet itself -- from 4 pm to 5:30 pm on the Thursday night. The more hands to help, the easier the work! Volunteers set up about twenty or more large round tables with 6 to 8 chairs per table, centerpieces/table decorations, and several large long rectangular tables. Food is not provided; volunteers enjoy setting up for the event and then many head over to the SummerFest festivities.
If volunteer is under 18 years old -- and teens are welcome -- please plan to have an adult accompanying you.
