Join Iowa Natural Heritage Foundation and Dallas County Conservation staff for an evening seed harvest at Kuehn Conservation Area. Volunteers will explore Kuehn's newest prairie, Jane's Prairie, while hand harvesting seeds. Dallas County Conservation staff will share the story behind Jane's Prairie along the way.
All ages welcomed! 12 & under must be accompanied by an adult.

Attire and Equipment:
· Sturdy, closed-toe shoes or hiking boots
· Long pants and layers. You may be working amongst thorny plants so sturdy clothes that can withstand rips (or you don't mind ripping) are encouraged.
· Gloves will be available but participants are encouraged to bring their own.
· Water bottle
· Feel free to bring other desired items like a hiking stick, binoculars, field guide and/or camera, if you like!
About Kuehn Conservation Area:
Kuehn Conservation Area is a 770-acre park near Earlham in Dallas County. This Conservation Area is rich in natural and cultural resources and offers a variety of outdoor recreation opportunities including camping, hiking and birdwatching. INHF has helped with multiple protection projects including the recent Jane's Prairie addition. This addition provides opportunity for habitat restoration in an area surrounded by rapid development.
