Urban Ambassadors

Our mission is to inspire and empower individuals to be more sustainable at home and in the community. Our vision is every person in greater Des Moines is equipped to be sustainable.

Urban Ambassadors centers around the following focus areas: food, waste, transportation, built infrastructure, and natural environment. We address these focus areas within the Greater Des Moines community through the the following services: our monthly newsletter and blog, monthly meet-ups, and hosting discussions on our Facebook page "Urban Ambassadors" and Facebook group "DSM Sustainability". Additionally, we have a section in our monthly newsletter called the "Spotlight on Sustainability". This is a chance for organizations in the community supporting sustainable efforts to tell their story to a new audience.
