Waukee Public Library Friends Foundation

The Waukee Public Library Friends Foundation is a non-profit group established to support and advocate for the Waukee Public Library. The Friends Foundation is overseen by an all volunteer board of directors. It is separate from, but works closely with library director and staff to determine needs.

The Friends Foundation works to provide funds for needs that are not met through the regular city budget. The Friends Foundation conducts continuous book sales in the library's "Book Nook" and a large annual book and bake sale in the spring. Other events are held throughout the year to raise funds for and support the library. Profits are used to make special purchases, support library events and provide needed updates. The Friends Foundation also works to raise capital funds for the benefit of the library as needed.
