Who We Are
NAMI IOWA offers an array of education and training programs throughout the year for individuals with a mental illness, family members and friends, health care providers and the general public. NAMI's signature education and support programs provide relevant information, valuable insight, and the opportunity to engage in support networks. These programs draw on the lived experience of families and individuals who have learned to define their level of recovery with mental illness and have been extensively trained to help others, as well as the expertise of mental health professionals and educators. NAMI IOWA and local affiliate leaders are committed to education as the balanced pathway to recovery, empowerment and wellness.
