Who We Are
Care Initiatives Hospice offers compassionate care and palliative support for Iowans in the final stages of life. Our interdisciplinary approach is designed to serve the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of those facing terminal illnesses or conditions. Care Initiatives Hospice is a part of the Care Initiatives network of senior care providers located throughout Iowa. Care Initiatives is a not-for-profit organization serving more than 3,000 older Iowans. We work closely with family members and caregivers to respect the wishes and needs of our patients and their loved ones. With 6 locations throughout Iowa, as well as the support network of Care Initiatives, the state's largest not-for-profit senior care provider, we are uniquely qualified to attend to the hospice needs of patients in the critical stages of life.
What We Do
We strive to bring quality of life for Iowans and their families during life's health transitions through compassionate individualized care.
As a volunteer, you would add to the quality of life of a patient who would benefit from your companionship and presence. Every visit you complete will be individualized for the patient you are visiting. It may mean talking, reminiscing, looking at photos, or sitting silently.
Call or email if you have questions. I look forward to having a detailed conversation how you can make a difference!
