Faith and Grace Garden

The Faith & Grace Garden is a donation garden, meaning all of the organic fruits and vegetables grown in the garden are donated to food pantries and other food distribution outlets located in Polk County. Established in 2000, the 2.3 acre garden is supported by about 200 volunteers from churches, schools, civic groups, neighbors and businesses from throughout the community.

Last year, the garden donated 36,692 pounds of organic fruits and vegetables to feed thousands of hungry local people. In addition, each spring the garden greenhouse donates vegetable plant starts to 22 school and church gardens. Vegetable plant starts are also donated at no charge to the local community. Over 100,000 vegetable plant starts were given away last year through these efforts.
