Rhythms of Grace

Rhythms of Grace is a volunteer-driven nonprofit organization that partners with special horses to provide healing and hope to children and adults with special needs. Volunteers enjoy seeing the success and growth of our clients as they heal and have their own special form of therapy outside the clinical setting. What a rewarding experience to be among such sentient beings.

We are one of six centers in Iowa that are credentialed by the Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship, International. Our instructor is among the 31 PATH Int'l certified instructors in Iowa. We offer Therapeutic (Adaptive Riding) Horsemanship, Equine-Assisted Learning and Equine-Assisted Therapy (including physical, occupational and mental health therapies). Our volunteers care for and lead the horses and walk beside our riders during lessons to keep them safe.

Rhythms of Grace utilize the movement of the horse as a treatment tool. From congenital diagnoses to injury recovery to processing trauma, our instructors and therapists help clients gain a greater sense of trust, independence, and excitement for the future.
