Volunteer: Point-in-Time Count (PIT) Winter 2026Point-in-Time is an annual Federally required census of people experiencing unsheltered homelessness in the Polk County area. The annual PIT Count will occur January 28-29th, 2026. Volunteers are required to register for a 4 hour shift and attend a training to participate in the annual count of unsheltered individuals. Training will occur on January 21 at 8:15 am and at 4:15 pm. Volunteers need to only attend one of the 30 minute trainings.
