Amanda the Panda provides a grief support camp twice a year. While kids attend camp, we will need a Nurse to dispense medications to children (kindergarten through 18 year olds) at camp when needed throughout camp weekend, without supervision from parents, as parents are asked to focus on themselves throughout the weekend.
The volunteer will be responsible for providing first aid to any camper or volunteer who might need it, dispensing medications to minors, and identifing when it is necessary for a camper of volunteer to be taken offsite for medical attention.
The volunteer nurse must be licensed to dispense medications, and must be an RN or physician.
Training Required: A brief organization and role orientation will be provided the first day of volunteering. Volunteers must successfully complete a background check and child and dependent adult abuse checks prior to volunteering at camp. Camp director will go over a process for dispensing of medications at camp.
