Here’s how Giving Trees will work if you wish to partner with Iowa Homeless Youth Center! Giving Trees is the same thing as Angel Trees, which you might be more familiar with. You will supply your own Christmas tree and I will provide you with the number of tags that you request and boxes to collect the supplies. As the tags are taken and gifts are purchased, I'll check in with you and supply you with more tags as necessary. The gifts and the tags are then turned in to a safekeeping place within your workplace.
I'll continue supplying you with tags through January 1st. On our YSS website, we'll list your organization as a place where people can find the Giving Trees. If you don't want your business to be listed as a public place to get the tags, we can keep your business private. Some organizations just want to host a tree for their staff and we respect that decision. Either volunteers or I will go to collect the turned in gifts with the tags.
