Monday, January 19th, is Martin Luther King, Jr. National Day of Service. For over 30 years, Martin Luther King, Jr. Day has been observed with a National Day of Action. Volunteers across the United States step forward to lend a hand and make a positive impact in their community, honoring Dr. King's memory and legacy.
We would like to invite you to join Habitat on Monday, January 19, 2026, to volunteer at one of our ReStore locations on E Euclid and Urbandale. The volunteer shift would be 9:30 - 1 p.m. Volunteers would help us process donations, stock shelves, hang rugs, and more! We will share in the morning meet and greet how Dr. King’s vision for building the “beloved community” and Habitat’s commitment to making it a reality.

Please follow the 2-step process below to register:
STEP 1: Complete Waiver
- Click on the registration link
- Enter First Name and Email address
- Complete waiver information
STEP 2: Select Shift to Volunteer
- Once you have completed the waiver, available shifts for your group will pop up
- Once you have selected a shift(s) and clicked the Sign Up to Volunteer button at the bottom of the page, you should receive an email with the date and time.
You must complete both steps of the registration process to be signed up.
