Spring Into Action by hosting a food or fund drive!

Spring Into Action typically coincides with National Volunteer Week and is call to increase volunteerism throughout Des Moines. From April 12th-April 22nd we want to see workplaces, schools, faith communities, and youth groups participating by hosting food and fund drives to help stock DMARC's Food Pantry Network. Getting started is easy! We provide all of the materials and training needed to make your efforts successful. The simple action of collecting donations has a meaningful impact on the children, families, and individuals who look to us for help with meeting their basic needs. In general we focus on food items that are low in sugar, salt, and fat, and our new "Fresh Fund" turns monetary donations into fresh fruits and vegetables for our partner pantries. Please contact us to learn more!
