The smell of fresh sharpened crayons and #2 pencils is in the air, which means it’s back-to-school time! That also means it is time for Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Iowa’s Back-to-School Kohl’s Shopping Days with our Club kids and we are looking for a few final volunteers. Our Club kids have the tremendous opportunity to receive a new back-to-school outfit from Kohl’s, due to the generous donation of our trustee, Suzie Glazer Burt! We hope to have one volunteer per every 5 kids to help shop and manage a “budget” that will allow each child to receive a new shirt, pair of pants, shoes, socks and undergarments. The shifts for the shopping day are listed below with an estimated amount of volunteers needed. An orientation will take place prior to kids arriving each day. The schedule will be as follows:
Wednesday, September 23rd 1:45 - 5:00 p.m. (3 volunteers)
Wednesday, September 23rd 2:15 - 5:30 p.m. (1 volunteer)
