With a focus on entrepreneurship, technology, and problem-solving, the Day of Innovation creates a dynamic platform for students to present projects, pitch ideas, and engage real-world challenges. The summit brings together students, educators, industry leaders, and community supporters to celebrate the achievements, creativity, and potential of Iowa youth and Pi515 participants. To highlight this event and our mission, we seek a talented photographer and/or videographer. 1-2 hours of event coverage would do wonders for our ability to tell our story. We are looking for a variety of volunteers to make this event successful. Roles include: Greeter/Usher (8:00 AM – 10:00 AM) - Welcome participants, direct them to the registration table, and assist with initial setup.Registration/Check-In (8:00 AM – 10:00 AM) - Help participants sign in at the start of the conference.Traffic Management (9:00 AM – 11:00 AM) & (11:00 AM – 1:00 PM) - Assist with directing participants around the venue and addressing logistical needs.Breakout Room Activity Support (10:00 AM – 12:30 PM) - Assist with hands-on activities during breakout sessions.Clean-Up Crew (10:30 AM – 12:00 PM), (12:00 PM – 1:00 PM) & (4:00 PM – 5:00 PM) - Ensure the space remains clean and organized throughout the event.Reach out to madeline@pi515.org for more information or to sign up. Volunteer: AI Challenge MentorThe statewide Pi515 AI Challenge offers students ages 18-24 an opportunity to tackle real-world social and economic issues in Iowa using Multi-Modal AI and big data. Teams of 3-5 students will design innovative and scalable solutions that address challenges in agriculture, finance, cybersecurity, and education. This program runs February-April 2026 and culminates with a public pitch competition, where top teams present their ideas for the chance to win awards funds to further develop their project. Sign up to be a AI Challenge mentor. This includes: 1. Working with a team of 3-5 students 2. Offering expertise, guidance, and support as teams develop their AI solution and model 3. Meeting at least twice (1-2 hours, virtually) over the course of the program (February - April 2026) This role offers a meaningful, student-facing opportunity that can be done virtually and requires a minimal time commitment. Thank you for helping us inspire the next generation of innovators!
