Ankeny Dollars for Scholars

Ankeny Dollars for Scholars is a non-profit 501(c)(3) community-based organization with the sole purpose of providing scholarships to graduating students of Ankeny Community School District in order to assist them in attending post-secondary education or training through an accredited 2-year or 4-year institution, trade school, or professional certification program.

Ankeny Dollars for Scholars is a non-profit all-volunteer organization that has served graduating students of Ankeny Community School District since 1984. Through fundraising activities, Ankeny Dollars for Scholars is able to serve as a clearinghouse for generous businesses, civic and school groups, and individuals who donate to create scholarships. Volunteers plan and implement fundraising activities, partner with Ankeny Schools personnel, facilitate the process by which students apply for scholarships and scholarships are matched with qualified recipients, and host the annual Senior Spotlight Nights for both Ankeny High School and Ankeny Centennial High School.
