Who We Are
Community Youth Concepts (CYC) helps youth ages 10 to 17 discover their own talents and passions by exploring what motivates them. We believe motivated students more easily see the relevance of education to their lives, make healthy decisions, and seek strong, supportive relationships that will help them be successful. We emphasize youth-driven and youth-led service as our primary vehicle for reaching students. CYC manages the Stowe Heights Challenge Course. Our programming offers engaging, experiential learning opportunities for both youth and adults. Through a mix of team-building activities, group challenges, and facilitated reflection, participants strengthen communication, trust, problem-solving, and leadership skills. Whether you're looking to build stronger teams, deepen connections, or foster personal and community growth, our program provides a supportive environment to do just that. Community Youth Concepts also offer trainings in youth development best practices.
What We Do
Community Youth Concepts provides career-based mentoring, volunteer service opportunities and experiential skill building to Iowa youth in order to improve their future success as students, professionals, and active community members.
