Roots Capoeira de Ouro

Roots Capoeira develps resilience, creative problem-solving, and self expression in youth and adults through the positive instruction of Capoeira, an Afro-Brazilian art form.

We teach free youth and low cost adult community classes. Our adult students also volunteer with the youth.  We offer workshops to the community and opportunities to integrate Capoeira into the core Language Arts curriculum in elementary schools. We perform at multicultural nights. We offer a place for Iowa Capoeiristas to unite during monthly rodas.
