Who We Are

We believe a home is the foundation for everything in life. Our integrated approach - housing with supportive services - changes lives and strengthens families and communities. Each year, CommonBond provides affordable housing and services to help more than 11,000 people with low and moderate incomes achieve their goals for stability, advancement, and independence. Approximately 2,800 of these residents are children. CommonBond develops and operates urban, suburban and rural housing communities across 50+ cities in Iowa, Minnesota, and Wisconsin for families, seniors, and people with disabilities and other barriers to stable housing.

What We Do

CommonBond homes are paired with supportive services that provide academic programs for youth, as well as job assistance, health and wellness services, and community engagement opportunities for adults and seniors. This leads to youth who excel in school, adults who find employment and advance in their jobs, and older adults who live independently longer. Our work is done in partnership with local communities, as well as the governmental, corporate, and philanthropic sectors.
