Supply drives as critical to our work as YSS supports multiple programs in the Des Moines area. This includes: Youth Opportunity Center, where staff are committed to meeting youth where they are in life and assisting them in taking the first step towards self-sufficiency; Aftercare programs, for young adults who have experienced foster care or other out-of-home placement; Rapid Rehousing, for young adults moving from homelessness or transitioning from foster care into independent housing; and the Lighthouse program, supporting young families experiencing homelessness.
Below is a consolidated list of needed items. Please let us know if you want this list broken out by program. Donations can be dropped off any time during the week of September 14th, but please arrange a date and time with us beforehand.
