Build with Habitat for Humanity! (Day of Action - Site B)

Description

Help make dreams of home ownership a reality for hardworking, low-income families with Greater Des Moines Habitat for Humanity by helping with our new home construction builds. No experience is needed; our construction managers will teach you anything you need to know on site. Volunteers assist with:

  • Framing
  • Siding
  • Flooring
  • Trimming
  • Painting
  • Installing doors and windows
  • Landscaping and more...

Volunteer group sizes are limited to 8 volunteers per site and shifts are from 8:15 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. with lunch on your own from 11:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. All volunteers must wear designated PPE. Volunteers must be 16 and up to participate. Youth under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult (age 21 +) and must bring a waiver with a parent or guardian signature

After registering through this website for the United Way Day of Action, all volunteers must additionally register through a separate link provided by GDM Habitat's volunteer team. Email questions to ecollet@gdmhabitat.org for more details.
